BUQUELAND awarded R+D+i project for Navantia in Offshore Wind Energy

Recently, BUQUELAND has been awarded by Navantia for the development of an R+D+i project integrated in the F4ST PROJECT. This project is co-financed within the framework of the Operational Program FEDER Galicia 2014-2020, within the thematic objective 1, “to promote research, technological development and innovation”. BUQUELAND will develop its project in the automated Phased Array Ultrasonic inspection of welding in X, Y, K joints of offshore wind turbine nodes.

The aim is to develop a procedure that takes into account the specific conditions and configurations of this type of structures and grafts, so that a continuous inspection can be performed taking into account the changes of bevel angles in all configurations. BUQUELAND counts on EDDYFI TECHNOLOGIES as technological partner, together with its subsidiary companies SILVERWING and M2M for the development of three-axis synchronized encoders and specific software.
